Life at Bedford is guaranteed to be a blast with so many activities for everyone to enjoy at Bedford!

Pocket parks, playgrounds, and greenways provide plenty of fun throughout the year. The Recreation Center provides an abundance of space for activities of all kinds including tennis, basketball and volleyball courts, a spacious clubhouse, two pools, Central Park, and a shady picnic pavilion.

Recreation Center

The Recreation center has a little something for everyone!

There are so many things to offer all ages at Bedford's Recreation Center. The 3500 square foot clubhouse provides a warm, friendly atmosphere for a variety of neighborhood and private get-togethers, parties and meetings. Two different areas with plush seating offer digital cable TV with VCRs and DVD players. A premier surround sound system provides musical entertainment both in the clubhouse, as well as around the pool. And for those adults who just can't get away from work, the entire area offers WiFi wireless technology for computers with a wireless networking card.

On the outside, the Recreation Center is host to a variety of competitive games, with a sand volleyball court, tennis courts and a basketball court. The Recreation Center also offers two pools–a competition sized pool for the serious swimmers and another pool loaded with tumble buckets, misters and raindrop umbrellas. Kids also live Mt. Gushmore, the 110-foot long, 15-foot high mountainous waterslide.

Pocket Parks, Lakes & Playgrounds

Bedford's natural settings can be enjoyed in many ways!

Bedford's pocket parks, playgrounds and lakes are places for all of Bedford's residents to enjoy and relax in a beautiful, natural setting. There are over 205 acres of parks, greenways and open spaces at Bedford, along with 26 miles of tree-lined sidewalks, which provide safe places for jogging, walking or bike riding. There are also plenty of resting places and gathering areas along the way. Bedford's lakes and fountain features are also tranquil additions to the community.

Bedford also has four playgrounds to choose from, which often leaves kids with the difficult decision of picking where to play with their friends. The Recreation Center's "Central Park" is a community favorite, with swings and slides, a merry-go-round and a mini rock wall. With so many playgrounds to choose from, kids can slide, climb, run, jump, or hang to their heart's content.

There are so many open spaces to take advantage of, which makes Bedford the perfect place to stay active throughout the year.

The Square is the center of ALL outdoor Community Activities!

The Bedford Clock Tower is a landmark in the center of Town Square, where an open greenway lined with trees is host to a variety of activities. Neighbors meet in this central area to visit with each other, to have a picnic, to watch the kids play or just to enjoy the scenery. The familiar sight of the Clock Tower serves as a constant reminder that you are at home.
